| Welcome! A few things about me: |

I am a writer who lives in one of the most beautiful areas of the world (in my humble opinion). |

The picture on the left is a view of the mountains from my front porch on Thanksgiving Day. If you look carefully you will see the ski runs cut in the mountain. That is Silver Mountain Resort, one of two ski areas within half an hour from my house (till my skis are on the snow). The one of the right is the view from the parking lot at Lookout Pass. As you may have gathered, I am a skier. There is nothing like sliding down a mountain with two boards strapped to your feet on a cold winter day. | | |

As you can see, I am also a cyclist. I love to cycle in some of the most beautiful country in the world--basically my back yard The above photos were taken on the world famous Hiawatha Trail. If you haven't ridden it, you must. It is one of the greatest Rails to Trails projects in the country. I worked there as a trail marshal for one season. Need someone to ride with when you come up? Contact me and I will give you a guided tour with a complete history lesson!
How do I know the history here?

The answer to that question is quite simple. My day job is as the Museum Operations Specialist for the Wallace District Mining Museum. Not only do I build exhibits and do desktop research and write research reports, I get out in the field and visit the old mine sites, look at ruins, and study aerial photography. In short I do historic forensics to find the Truth. I often ask "What really happened here?" So how did I become a writer? Read here.
